Symptoms

Assume that you use System Center Configuration Manager version 1610 on a computer that's running Windows Server 2012. If the Certificate Registration Point site role is installed, attempts to deploy Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol profiles are unsuccessful. In this situation, errors that resemble the following are recorded in the crp.log file:

Exception in ValidationPhase1: CertEnroll:CX509PublicKey:ComputeKeyIdentifier: The parameter is incorrect. 0x80070057 (WIN32: 87)
