DAX Copilot in Epic mobile apps

Applies to DAX Copilot in Epic Haiku or Canto.

DAX Copilot is available as an embedded feature within Epic Hyperdrive, and in the Epic Haiku and Canto mobile EHR applications for iOS and Android devices.

What can you do with DAX Copilot in Epic mobile apps?

You will always use DAX Copilot in Haiku or Canto to create ambient recordings for your clinical documentation. You can also perform many of the same actions in Haiku or Canto that are available to you in DAX Copilot in Epic Hyperdrive.

DAX Copilot in Haiku and Canto supports ambient recording, and access to the features in the Note, Orders, and Transcript screens.

Review and modify the clinical summaries that DAX Copilot generated from your ambient recordings and apply customizable templates.
Select the more icon to open the Note, Orders, or Transcript screen.
Select the settings icon to open the Settings panel and update your note style preferences.
Confirm or update your Profile settings.
Select the Resources icon to access training.

Notes:

The iOS versions of Haiku and Canto only support ambient recording with DAX Copilot by default (see "Classic view" below) - unless your Epic administrator enables the "enhanced webview experience for iOS" setting.
The Epic Canto app is only available for iOS/iPadOS devices at this time.

How to navigate to features in DAX Copilot for Epic Haiku or Canto.

Important:

Saving: The Note tab in Dragon Copilot automatically saves any edits you make within a few seconds. The status icon in the upper corner of the screen indicates whether your edits have been saved. Verify the status icon is green before navigating to a different screen or closing the application to avoid any risk of data loss.
Sync to EHR: You must select Sync to EHR to ensure that your edits transfer to your EHR note.

"Classic" view

Classic view is the default option for DAX Copilot in iOS versions of Epic Haiku and Canto, and allows you:

Create monologue and multi-party ambient recordings for your patient encounters in English, or a combination of English and Spanish.
Access support and training resources from the Resource center.

You must launch DAX Copilot in Epic Hyperdrive to review the clinical summaries and transcript, or use the powerful features and capabilities available in DAX Copilot.
