This article describes the improvements and fixes that were previously available in update 3114349 for Microsoft Outlook 2013 and are now available in more recent updates (see the "Resolution" section).

Improvements and fixes

  • Translates some terms in German and Russian languages for the accuracy of the meaning.

  • Adds support for Office.context.mailbox.item.close() in Outlook 2013.

  • Fixes the following issues:

    • You have some Outlook Add-ins that can access email bodies through Office APIs for Outlook 2016. However, these APIs aren't available in Outlook 2013. This update adds support for version 1.3 of the Mail Apps API requirement set in Outlook 2013.

    • Some unnecessary network traffic occurs during AutoDiscover in Outlook 2013.

    • When you forward an email message in Outlook 2013 that has the reading pane disabled, the recipients of the email message aren't displayed in the body text.

    • When you send an email message, Outlook 2013 accesses some nickname cache entries, and then Outlook 2013 may crash.

    • When you try to delete items from public folders, you receive the following error message:

      Changes made to the item were lost due to a reconnect with the server.

    • Custom add-ins use cached access tokens instead of tokens that are retrieved from the Exchange Web Service (EWS) in Outlook 2013.

    • The Delegate can see my private items setting for a delegate is lost.

    • The Inbox folder doesn't synchronize in Outlook 2013. In addition, your mailbox is renamed as an archive mailbox or an archive mailbox is renamed as your mailbox, and you may see a duplicate view of your mailbox when you expand the archive mailbox.

    • You experience the following issues for an IMAP email account:

      • Content are moved to a renamed folder unexpectedly.

      • You can't import content to folders that have common hierarchy separators in the name.

    • Microsoft narrator can't read the number of unread email messages in an email folder in Outlook 2013.

    • It takes a long time to configure a user account in Outlook 2013.

    • Outlook crashes frequently after update 3101488 is installed.

These improvements and fixes are available in the following updates.
