INTRODUCTION

The Presence Bootstrapping Tool for Lync Server 2010 sets the default presence policies for one or more users who do not sign in to clients for Lync Server 2010. The tool enables you to view the presence status of users who use a third-party client application that communicates with Lync Server 2010, according to the default presence privacy mode settings.

Notes

  • Run this tool on a Lync Server 2010 trusted server one time for each user (or list of users) who uses a third-party client application that interfaces with Lync Server 2010.

  • Use this tool only if you are directed to do this by the third-party application manufacturer or by the documentation that applies to that application.
