You try to create a new mail profile for Outlook Anywhere when you connect to a Microsoft Exchange server. When you try to connect to an Exchange server through Microsoft Forefront Unified Access Gateway 2010, the new mail profile is not created. Additionally, the New Profile Wizard may stop responding or crash.
This problem may occur when the Client Access server has Integrated Windows Authentication enabled. Unified Access Gateway tries to authenticate to the Client Access server by using credentials that you specified in the New Profile Wizard. In this case, the domain name is added as a prefix so that your user name resembles the following:
domain\firstname.lastname@example.orgNTLM authentication is unsuccessful when a user name uses this format. This authentication failure causes Unified Access Gateway to return an HTML error page to the client, and this causes the New Profile Wizard to stop responding.
To resolve this problem, install the service pack that is described in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

To work around this issue, do not provide the password when you run the New Profile Wizard. By doing this, you will then be prompted for your credentials, and authentication will be successful.
