About this update
Before you apply this update, a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device may not pass the Logical Link Control and Adaptation Layer Protocol (L2CAP) test in the Profile Tuning Suite (PTS). Because of the baseband connection, an asynchronous channel link cannot disconnect in 10 seconds after no L2CAP usage occurs. This update changes the L2CAP behavior to disconnect the baseband connection after 9 seconds of L2CAP idle time.
When you apply this update, the following registry change is made to the public\COMMON\oak\files\common.reg file.
Before this update |
After this update |
---|---|
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\l2cap] "IdlePhys":dword=A ; |
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\l2cap] "IdlePhys":dword=9 ; |
After this change is made, the L2CAP test is successful. Notes
