Symptoms

When you run an application that calls the InternalProcessRequest method in Microsoft Commerce Server 2009 R2, authorization checks for the request are bypassed unexpectedly.

Cause

This issue occurs because the authorization checks do not run when the InternalProcessRequest method is called.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, apply the following hotfix. After you apply this hotfix, you can call the following new overloaded InternalProcessReqeuest method to configure whether authorization checks should be run:

Public static CommerceResponse InternalProcessRequest(CommerceRequest request, bool isInternalRequest)

Notes

  • If the value of the isInternalRequest parameter is True, no authorization check is required. This is the original behavior of the CommerceResponse InternalProcessRequest(CommerceRequest request) API. This behavior is documented in the CS2009 R2 document.

  • If the value of the isInternalRequest parameter is False, the authorization check is enabled.
