Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You create a static one-way receive port (EDIReceive) and a static one-way send port (EDISend) in a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2010 application.

You create Parties and simple x12 Agreement for this application.

You export an .msi file and a binding file for the BizTalk Server 2010 application from BizTalk Server Administration Console, and then you import them into BizTalk Server 2013.
In this scenario, you receive the following error message:
Failed to update binding information. (mscorlib)
Additional information:
Some of the x12 protocol properties are invalid. (Microsoft.BizTalk.B2B.PartnerManagement)
Cause
This problem occurs because of a limitation in the new columns that are added in BizTalk Server 2013 to support 999 Acknowledgements out-of-box. These columns do not accept null values.
