Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2012 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2012 fix release.

Symptoms

In Microsoft SQL Server 2012, the System_health session diagnostics collection task may freeze. To determine whether this issue has occured, run the following query, and then monitor the value of the wait_time column. When this issue occurs, the value of the wait_time column should keep increasing.

select wait_time, wait_type,* from sys.dm_exec_requests where command='SYSTEM_HEALTH_MONITOR'

Cumulative update package 1 for SQL Server 2012
