Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a Microsoft BizTalk Server 2009 project that has an orchestration.

  • The orchestration uses message types that are classes from a referenced .NET project.

  • The classes import or include many schemas.

  • You try to build the BizTalk project in Microsoft Visual Studio.

In this scenario, Visual Studio crashes.

Cause

This issue occurs because of stack overflow.

When many schemas are imported or included in the message types, many recursive calls are made, and the call stack overflows.
