This article describes an issue that occurs when you play a .wma file in Windows Embedded Compact 2013. An update is available to fix this issue. Before you install this update, you must install all previously issued updates for this product.
Symptoms
Assume that you copy a .wma file to the root folder on a Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based device. You play the file in Windows Media Player, and then select Save. In this situation, the player crashes, and you have to restart the device to recover the application.

Restart requirement
After you apply this update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

On the Build menu, select Clean Solution, and then select Build Solution.

On the Build menu, select Rebuild Solution.
You don't have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.
