Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You are running Microsoft Skype for Business 2016.

  • You have Human Interface Device (HID) interop fully enabled in Skype for Business 2016 and Microsoft Teams.

  • You try to make or receive a Teams call.

  • You tap or double-tap the call start button on the supported HID device.

In this situation, Skype for Business 2016 plays a dial tone only.

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the April 7, 2020, update (KB4484286) for Microsoft Skype for Business 2016.
