This hotfix also applies to Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014).

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You have a Power View report that runs against a multidimensional cube in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012) that has applied SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 Cumulative Update 4 or Cumulative Update 5 or SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014).

  • The report contains subtotal values, grand total values, or both. For example, the report contains a flat table or a matrix.

  • The report contains two or more group-by columns.

  • The subtotal or grand total values are derived from calculations such as calculated members or scoped assignments.

In this scenario, the subtotal or grand total rows may display incorrect results. Note If you use Microsoft SQL Server 2012 PowerPivot to show the report, the correct result is displayed.
