This hotfix also applies to Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Reporting Services (SSRS 2014).

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You apply Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or any later cumulative updates on top of SQL Server 2012 SP1 to a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Report Services (SSRS 2012) instance or you have a SQL Server 2014 Report Services (SSRS 2014) instance.

  • You have an SSRS report.

  • When you view the report in Report Manager, the vertical scroll bar appears because the report is longer than the Internet Explorer window.

  • You use the Find option in the Report Manager toolbar to search for some text in the report.

In this scenario, the view will jump to the bottom of the report page. You have to scroll up manually to locate the highlighted section that contains the text being searched.
