Symptoms
When you try to run some Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) queries against Relational Online Analytical Processing (ROLAP) partitions in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS 2012) or SQL Server 2014 Analysis Services (SSAS 2014), you receive the following error message:
OLE DB error: OLE DB or ODBC error: Invalid column name '<ColumnName>'.; 42S22
The issue occurs when the following conditions are true:

The MDX query projects on non-root levels of a parent/child hierarchy.

The WHERE clause contains predicates on the members of the parent/child hierarchy.
Resolution
The issue was first fixed in the following cumulative update of SQL Server.
