Symptoms

Assume that you import an Access database into a Microsoft SQL Server database by using Import and Export Wizard in SQL Server 2012 Management Studio (SSMS 2012) or SSMS 2014. When you use Microsoft Office 15.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider as the data source, you receive the following error message:

Could not connect source component. Error 0xc0202009: Source -XXXX [1]: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E37. Error 0xc02020e8: Source - XXXX[1]: Opening a rowset for "'XXXX'" failed. Check that the object exists in the database.

Cause

The issue occurs because Microsoft Office 15.0 Access Database Engine OLE DB Provider is not well supported. When you use it as the data source, the related table name cannot be found in the Access database.
