Symptoms

Assume that you create a business rule in SQL Server 2016 Master Data Services (MDS). If you set a condition to refer to a parent entity, and you set an action to refer to another parent entity, you can't save or publish the business rule.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is included in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:

Cumulative Update 4 for SQL Server 2016 Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1
