Symptoms
When you use ALTER DATABASE... to make changes in SQL Server 2019, you may notice that SQL Server fails to log changes made to SQL Error Log, Windows Application Event Log or raise a Data Definition Language (DDL) trigger.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
