KB5008174 - FIX: The XML and Flat File Assembler pipeline components don't handle files larger than 2 GB

Symptoms

If you send messages that are larger than 2 gigabytes (GB) by using the following Assembler pipeline components, you encounter different issues:

• XML Assembler pipeline component: The output messages get truncated.

• Flat File Assembler pipeline component: The messages are suspended, and the following error message is returned:

  Error details: Unable to read the stream produced by the pipeline.

  Details: Unexpected end of file has occurred. The following elements are not closed: <XmlElementName>. Line <LineNumber>, position <position>.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. 

Resolution

This problem is fixed in the following cumulative update for BizTalk Server:

• Cumulative Update 3 for BizTalk Server 2020
