Symptoms

Assume that you use the query_post_execution_plan_profile extended event (XEvent) in Microsoft SQL Server 2019. If the engine's cache is filled during XEvent generation, and you reuse the same execution plan, this cache points to invalid memory and causes an access violation.

Resolution

This problem is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:

Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and security fixes that were in the previous build. We recommend that you install the latest build for your version of SQL Server:
