The Phi Silica J32 AI component for Qualcomm-powered systems is a Transformer-based local language model. The Neural Processing Unit (NPU) within the architecture powers Microsoft's Phi Silica small language model (SLM) on Copilot+ Windows PCs. It is a specialized AI accelerator designed to provide highly efficient, on-device AI computation for local language models and multimodal AI workloads.
