Introduction
The Image Processing AI component for Qualcomm‑powered Copilot+ PCs is a Windows AI component that enables on‑device image understanding and image processing across Windows features and applications. It uses machine‑learning models and supporting runtime components to perform tasks such as scaling, segmentation, foreground and background extraction, and visual analysis. By running locally on the device’s dedicated AI hardware, the component delivers fast, low‑latency performance while keeping image data on the device, and it supports image‑based Windows experiences including enhancement, accessibility, and AI‑assisted image editing workflows.
