Symptoms
Assume that you enable the India configuration key in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1). When you generate a Portable Document Format (PDF) file of the Form 27A report from a Tax Collected as Source (TCS) statement or from a Tax Deducted as Source (TDS) statement, some contents in the file are not readable.
Resolution
This problem is fixed in the latest cumulative hotfix rollup for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1.

More Information
To generate a Form 27A report, make sure that the following conditions are true:

The India configuration key under Country/region specific features key is enabled.

The configuration key for the withholding tax is enabled.

The Activate TDS check box and the Activate TCS check box in the General ledger parameters dialog box are selected.

The Invoice check box and the Payment check box in the Tax Deducted at Source field and the Tax Collected at Source field on the Direct Taxes tab in the General ledger parameters dialog box are selected.
To generate a Form 27A report, follow these steps:

Click General ledger, expand Reports, expand India, expand TDS, and then click TDS statement.

Click tax account number that you want to use.

Set the Statement type value to 26Q/27Q.

In the TDS statement generation dialog box, fill the following fields :

Date of generating return
-
Full name
-
Designation
-
Printing date
-
Name of return preparation utility
-
-
Select the Generate e-file check box.

Specify the file name and the file path, and then save the file.

Click Options.
-
Click PDF in the File format list.
-
Specify the file name and the file path, and then save the file.

Click OK.

In the TDS statement generation dialog box, select the Filed check box .
