Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You want to log on to a domain by using domain credentials on a Windows 8-based tablet device.
-
You enter an incorrect password for the domain.
-
The tablet tries to perform a Single Sign-on (SSO) to connect to the WLAN network.
In this scenario, the system unexpectedly redirects the SSO to a Windows Vista-style UI. Additionally, the touch feature is disabled.
Resolution
This hotfix is also available at Microsoft Update Catalog.
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.
