Consider the following scenario:

  • Internet Explorer 10 is installed on a computer that is running Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012.

  • You use a web-based application to dynamically change text in a <span> tag on a page.

  • You use a script to align the text.

  • You view the page in Standards mode in Internet Explorer 10.

In this scenario, the text is not aligned correctly.

This issue occurs because the text-align values in the <span> tag are not calculated.
