Symptoms

In a Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 environment, the Microsoft Exchange File Distribution service (MSExchangeFDS) consumes large amounts of memory on a server that is running Exchange Server 2010 and has the Client Access server (CAS) role installed. When this occurs, the server that has the CAS role installed experiences slow performance.

Cause

This issue occurs because the replication handler for offline address books (OABs) holds a parameter that consumes large amounts of memory during OAB synchronization.
