Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 is installed on Domain A.

You configure the value of ForceClaimACLs to 1 by following the steps that are described in Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) article 2344518.

You run a full crawl to enable the new access control list (ACL) format across the content.
In this scenario, the search daemon file grows very large. For example, the file size is 8 to 10 gigabytes (GBs).
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install the following update packages:
