Update rollup 1 hotfix for System Center Operations Manager 2025

Introduction  

This article describes the latest update for System Center Operations Manager 2025. This article also contains the installation instructions for this update.  

Prerequisites  

To apply this hotfix, you must have the following update: Update Rollup 1 for System Center Operations Manager 2025.

Issue fixed in this update 

• Patch (MSP) files are not updated in the \Program Files\Microsoft System Center\Operations Manager\Server\AgentManagement\amd64\ directory due to an issue with Simplified Server EXE.

• After applying Update Rollup 1, the resource pools fail to send heartbeat, and anything connected to secondary management server are greyed out, including direct agents and gateways. All Management Servers Resource pool are in failed state.

• Gateways reporting to secondary MS are stuck requesting config (20124) and never get a config update.

Installation Instructions  

1. Download the MSP files: 

• Agent - KB5080648-amd64-Agent.msp

• Management Server - KB5080648-amd64-Server.msp

• Gateway Server - KB5080648-amd64-Gateway.msp

2. From an elevated command prompt, run the KB5080648-amd64-Agent.msp for the Agent, KB5080648-amd64-Server.msp for the management servers, KB5080648-amd64-Gateway.msp for the Gateway. 

Uninstallation Instructions 

To uninstall the hotfix, use the appropriate msiexec command from Command Prompt: 

1. Agent - msiexec /package {0E8861CE-BDC7-46B8-91AE-2BC5B0C604EC} /uninstall {ED4247F5-D82C-472C-8DDF-3BCD020AAB4D} /qb /l*v Hotfix_Uninstall.log

2. Server - msiexec /package {D1622159-9A3F-4D8F-A727-AD02B190261E} /uninstall {31DFECC6-69D8-44BF-AD36-75D8309695D4} /qb /l*v Hotfix_Uninstall.log

3. Gateway - msiexec /package {0326EACD-CC42-4382-856D-A82F064F81D1} /uninstall {EE811323-14FE-40F7-8FBC-0E06889F4BBE} /qb /l*v Hotfix_Uninstall.log
