Assignments in Canvas are enhanced with the OneDrive LTI app. Educators can create new assignments or modify existing ones using OneDrive to streamline the workflow for students.
Canvas LMS offers the OneDrive submission type External Tool, which allows students to submit their assignments by uploading word excel and powerpoint files directly from their Microsoft 365 Education accounts into Canvas.
Canvas LMS also streamlines the process for educators who can then access and review submitted assignments from within the LMS.
Students access the file provided by their teacher by going to their Canvas LMS assignments. OneDrive embeds a copy of the file in the assignment page and students edit their own copy to submit for review.
Educators can also choose an online submission type and allow file uploads, allowing students to upload files from their OneDrive to complete the assignment.
