The error 1722 is the Active Directory replication error. The error can be cause when the remote source domain controller is powered down, or is in the process of restarting.

To fix the issue, verify whether the domain controller is powered on and whether it is available on the network.

If the domain controller was powered off, or recently restarted, wait for a period replication to occur, or trigger replication manually between the source and destination DCs to update the last replication result error code. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open a command prompt.

  2. Use repadmin.exe to try a bind operation by running the following command: repadmin /bind SourceDCName

Note Replace the SourceDCName placeholder with the fully qualified DNS name of the Source DC.
