Frontier is an early-access space for the latest AI innovations in Microsoft 365. It lets you explore new Copilot-powered experiences before they’re generally available.  It’s designed to accelerate learning and gather real-world feedback while keeping you in your familiar Microsoft 365 setup. You get hands-on access to experimental agents and preview app features so you can try new capabilities, share feedback, and help shape what ships next.

Frontier

Notes:

  • Frontier includes early access to experimental features. That means things may change as Microsoft improves them. Your feedback helps guide what becomes broadly available.

  • Early Frontier features are initially in English for U.S.-based subscribers. Availability will expand over time.

Who can use Frontier?

Enterprise & business users: Anyone with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license is eligible to try Frontier features, subject to your organization’s admin settings.

Individuals: People with Microsoft 365 Personal, Family, or Premium subscriptions can also access Frontier features (initially available in the web versions of Word and Excel and in Copilot chat on the web).

Where to find Frontier

Frontier features appear within Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 apps once your license and admin settings allow it.
