You cannot create a correcting timecard or add hours to a line in Project Flex Time if "Available for All Employees to Charge" is not checked in Project Maintenance

Consider the following scenario in Project Flex Time for Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics SL:

  • In Project Maintenance (PA.PRJ.00), you click to clear the Available for All Employees to Charge check box.

  • In Business Portal, you click Project Center and then click Project Flex Time.

  • In Project Flex Time, you click a completed timecard and then click Timecard Summary.

  • In Timecard Summary, you click Create a Correcting Timecard.

In this scenario, you cannot create a correcting timecard. Only those cells for which hours were originally entered are enabled. All other cells are disabled. You cannot add hours to a line on the correcting timecard, and you cannot add new detail lines to the correcting timecard.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft Dynamics SL Service Pack that contains this hotfix as specified in the "Status" section in this article.
