This article applies to Microsoft Dynamics AX for all regions.
Symptoms
When you deploy Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Management Pack version 6.3.158.0 for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, some monitors may work incorrectly if you are running Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, AX 2012 Feature Pack, or AX 2012 R2. You may experience one of the following issues:
-
Batch job duration may be calculated incorrectly, which causes false positive monitor results.
-
Access to Microsoft SQL Server 2012 through the Windows Management Interface (WMI) API may fail.
-
Compatibility level of the Microsoft Dynamics AX database may be detected incorrectly with Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
-
Access to model tables may fail when there is a Microsoft Dynamics AX model database (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2).
Cause
These issues occur because the Windows PowerShell scripts that are part of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 and earlier versions have to be updated to work with Management Pack version 6.3.158.0.
Resolution
You have to install Management Pack version 6.3.158.0 and this hotfix to resolve these issues.
