Consider the following scenario:

  • Your Windows 8.1 system is configured to use a wireless display in extended mode.

  • You are attempting to play video from a Microsoft Store application that uses DirectX content.

  • The video is being played on the wireless display device.

In this scenario, you may encounter the following blue screen error:

The VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR bug check has a value of 0x00000119.

This indicates that the video scheduler has detected a fatal violation. This is a known issue for Windows 8.1, and has been resolved in Windows 10.

To resolve this issue, Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10.
