What is Resume feature?
The Resume feature allows you to seamlessly continue your activity between your linked Android mobile device and PC with a single-click alert delivered right on your taskbar.
What do I need to use this feature?
To use Resume feature, you'll need the following:

A PC running Windows 11 or later.

An Android mobile device running Android 10 or later.

Both your mobile device and PC need to be connected to the internet.

Your mobile device connected to your PC with Link to Windows app.

Your mobile device listed under Mobile devices in PC settings. Learn more.
How do I enable this feature?
To user this feature, ensure that the prerequisites listed above are met. If these prerequisites are met, this feature is enabled by default.
How do I turn off Resume feature?
You can turn off this feature by navigating to Settings > Apps > Resume on your PC and toggling it off.
What can I do with Resume?
This feature allows you to continue your activity from a supported app on your mobile device on your PC. Here’s how it works:

Open a supported app on your Android mobile device.

Perform a supported action on the application.

The app icon will appear on the taskbar of your linked Windows PC, annotated with a phone badge.

Click on the app icon shown on the PC's taskbar.

The same app will open on your PC, allowing you to continue the action you were performing on your mobile device.
Which apps and actions are supported?
As of January 2026, the following apps support the Resume capability on Windows.

Continue listening to your favorite music tracks and podcast episodes on your PC.
vivo Browser

vivo Android phone users can continue their browsing activity from the vivo Browser on their phone in the default browser on their PC.
Microsoft 365 Copilot

Android phone users on HONOR, OPPO, Samsung, vivo, and Xiaomi devices can continue working on online files opened in the Microsoft 365 Copilot app from their phone on their PC. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files will open in the corresponding desktop app if installed; otherwise, they will open in the default web browser on the PC.

Note:Â Offline files stored locally on the phone are not currently supported.
How do I manage which apps are allowed to Resume?
You can turn off this feature for specific supported apps by navigating to Settings > Apps > Resume and toggling off the app.Â
