I do not recommend changing any Spotlight files because the system is built to detect and resolve problems itself.

However, for more advanced troubleshooting steps, you can try deleting some files that the Spotlight feature uses.  This could require up to a few days for the feature to fully synchronize and for the files to be recreated automatically.

  1. Open File Explorer, and put this path in the Address bar:   %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\ContentManagementSDK\Creatives\338387

  2. If there is a file with some number as its name, delete that file. Do not delete the eventbeacons.dat or the imprbeacons.dat files.

  3. Then put this path in the Address bar:   %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\TargetedContentCache\v3

  4. If there is a folder called “338387” delete it and the files inside it.

  5. Reboot your device.  Again, this this could require a few days for the feature to fully synchronize and for the files to be recreated automatically.
