Let's try running the Windows Update Troubleshooter.
Windows 10 and 11

Click here to open the Troubleshoot settings app, and choose Windows Update.
Windows 8.1 and 7

Make sure you have internet access, then download the Update Troubleshooter.

Run the troubleshooter. When it's done, restart your device. Then check for new updates. Select Start, and then search for Check for Updates, and install any available updates.
