Error message when you run an Extender Import in Microsoft Dynamics GP: "Member Not Found"


SYMPTOMS

When you run an Extender Import, and the File Type is set to Excel Spreadsheet , you receive the following error message:

Member Not Found

This problem occurs in Extender in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because the version of Microsoft Office that is installed on your computer is older than Microsoft Office 2003.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, follow these steps:
1. Open the Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet, and then save it as a text, tab delimited file.
2. Open the Extender Import ID that you set up for this Excel spreadsheet. To do this, click Tools , click Extender , click Import , and then change the File Type from Excel Spreadsheet to Tab Delimited .
3. Run the Extender Import.
You no longer receive the error message.
