Preview of Monthly Rollup

Improvements and fixes

This non-security update includes improvements and fixes that were a part of KB4048959 (released November 14, 2017) and also includes these new quality improvements as a preview of the next Monthly Rollup update:

  • Addressed issue where smart card logons fail after the authenticating domain controller (DC) has been restarted. The error is: "Signing in with a smart card isn’t supported for your account...". The authenticating DC logs KDC event 19 and Kerberos Distribution event 29 in the System event log. The log states that a suitable certificate cannot be found for smart card logons.

  • Addressed issue where the JET DB cannot open Microsoft Excel files. The error message is: “Unexpected error from external database driver (1). (Microsoft JET Database Engine)".

  • Addressed issue where user preferences are not retained when you click a URL in an app published using Citrix XenApp.

  • Addressed issue that impacted some Epson SIDM (Dot Matrix) and TM (POS) printers, which were failing to print on x86 and x64-based systems. This issue affects KB4048959.
