Applies to: SQL Server 2014 DeveloperSQL Server 2014 EnterpriseSQL Server 2014 Enterprise Core

Consider the following scenario:

  • You use a database at compatibility level 100 in Microsoft SQL Server.
  • You have a table in the database that contains a PERSISTED computed column.
  • The PERSISTED computed column uses the SOUNDEX function.

In this scenario, if you run the DBCC CHECKDB command on the database, you may receive consistency errors for rows in the table.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
