A country specific update for Latvian XML file VAT declaration 2018 in Microsoft Dynamics AX

Summary


This article describes a country-specific update for Latvia in regard to changes in VAT report.

Starting from year 2018, the threshold of the reportable transactions in the VAT return is reduced from EUR 1430 to EUR 150. The application of reverse charge to local supplies of goods/services is expanded. New xml elements were introduced.

Overview


To address the changes, the following was updated in the system:

  1. Add new xml elements in General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > External > Sales tax reporting XML codes:

  1. Following types are added in General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > Sales tax codes, field Business type, new values:

  • C (light vehicle acquisition and import)
  • R4 (Electronic related business)
  • R5 (Grain related business)
  • R6 (Precious metal related business)
  • R7 (Metal products and services related business)
  • R8 (household electronic devices and household electronic appliances related business).
  • R9 (Construction products related business)
