This article describes a country-specific update for Latvia in regard to changes in VAT report.
Starting from year 2018, the threshold of the reportable transactions in the VAT return is reduced from EUR 1430 to EUR 150. The application of reverse charge to local supplies of goods/services is expanded. New xml elements were introduced.
To address the changes, the following was updated in the system:
Add new xml elements in General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > External > Sales tax reporting XML codes:
Transactions Taxable with VAT 5%
Goods supplied to EU Member States referred to Section 16, Paragraph four of the Law
Goods received from EU Member States (reduced rate (VAT 5%))
With a VAT rate of 5% for taxable transactions
With VAT 5% of taxable goods received from EU Member States
Please note, that Initialize function will re-create the xml elements and delete the already created records.
Following types are added in General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > Sales tax codes, field Business type, new values:
- C (light vehicle acquisition and import)
- R4 (Electronic related business)
- R5 (Grain related business)
- R6 (Precious metal related business)
- R7 (Metal products and services related business)
- R8 (household electronic devices and household electronic appliances related business).
- R9 (Construction products related business)
