Servicing stack update for Windows 10 version 1903: August 27, 2019

Applies to: Windows 10, version 1903, all editions

This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Key changes include:

  • Addresses an uninstall issue with automated maintenance. If the Features on Demand (FOD) feature has a language satellite installed, the feature is left in an unusable state. Additionally, the released language pack content is not removed even if it is superseded.

We strongly recommend you install the latest servicing stack update (SSU) for your operating system before you install the latest cumulative update (LCU). Installing servicing stack updates (SSU) makes sure that you have a robust and reliable servicing stack so that your devices can receive and install Microsoft security fixes.
