KB4527510 - FIX: User hierarchy is not hidden when you run DISCOVER_CSDL_METADATA in SQL Server

Symptoms


Assume that you hide your user hierarchy by setting Visible=False in the cube dimension in SQL Server. When you run a DISCOVER_CSDL_METADATA command, you may notice that the user hierarchy is not marked as hidden as expected.

Status


Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. 

Resolution


This issue is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:
