Console may crash when you select Add online protection to existing Protection Group after installing Update Rollup 1 for Data Protection Manager 2019

Symptoms


Afterinstalling Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft System Center 2019Data Protection Manager (DPM 2019), you click on add online protection by rightclicking on existing protection group or by selecting option in the top ribbon,the console may crash.

To install this hotfix, follow thesesteps:

  1. Download this hotfix to a target folder on your computer.
  2. Open the target folder,
    • Select and right-click on DataProtectionManager-KB4547368.exe if you are installing the hotfix on the DPM server
    • Select and right-click on DPMManagementShell-KB4547368.exe if you are installing the hotfix on Remote DPM Console server
  3. Click Run as administrator.
  4. Accept the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then follow the steps in the installation wizard.

Prerequisites


To apply this hotfix, you must have Update Rollup 1 for Microsoft System Center 2019Data Protection Manager installed.
