CMPivot queries return unexpected results in Configuration Manager current branch, version 2002

After updating to Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager current branch, version 2002, CMPivot queries return unexpected results. For example, the Kusto Query Language top operator is ignored in a select statement.
