Note Enterprise customers who want to disable this notification bar can do so by setting the following registry key:

Registry location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

DWORD name: DisableFlashNotificationPolicy
DWORD value: 1

More information

In July 2017, Microsoft, Adobe, and their industry technology partners, announced this decision. In keeping with this plan, Microsoft is ending support for Adobe Flash Player on Microsoft Edge (both Chromium-based and legacy) and Internet Explorer 11 at the end of December 2020.

To direct users attention to the end of support for Adobe Flash Player, a notification bar that states the following is added to Internet Explorer 11:

This site uses Adobe Flash Player which will not be supported after December 2020.

Note This notification bar will be displayed only when the user visits a website that hosts Adobe Flash content. The notification bar will appear one time every 60 days until December 31, 2020.
