Create a new personal event

In Teams for your personal life, you can create, edit, and delete personal events to help keep yourself organized and on schedule.

Tips: 

  • Teams currently supports Outlook calendars. You can see your Outlook calendar as your personal calendar in Teams. If you don’t have an Outlook calendar, you can use the Teams calendar to track your appointments and group events.

  • You can add group events to your Teams calendar by selecting the event and selecting Add to calendar.

To create a new event: 

  1. Select the Calendar tab at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select Add an event  Teams add event icon  icon at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Give the event a Title. You can choose to Add Participants, choose the Start and End times, select to Repeat, and if needed add a Location.

  4. When you’ve finished setting the event options, select Done  Teams OK icon .

How do I edit/delete an existing event?

To edit an event:

  1. Select the Calendar tab.

  2. Select the event you want to edit.

  3. Select the Edit button.

  4. Make any changes to the event, then select Done  The Done icon in Teams .

To delete an event:

  1. Select the Calendar tab.

  2. Select the event you wish to cancel.

  3. Select Cancel event  Delete button .

  4. Select OK to confirm the event’s cancellation.

To create a new event in Teams for your personal life:

  1. Select the Calendar tab at the bottom of the screen.

  2. If this is the first event you’ve added, select Add an event. If you’ve previously added events, select the Add event  Meetings button  icon at the top of the screen.

  3. Give the event a Title. You can also toggle All day on or off, choose the Start and End times, select Repeat options, add a Location, Show as a certain status, and add a Description.

  4. When you’ve finished setting the event options, select Done.

How do I edit/delete an existing event?

To edit an event:

  1. Select the Calendar tab.

  2. Select the event you want to edit.

  3. Select the Edit button.

  4. Make any changes to the event, then select Done.

To delete an event:

  1. Select the Calendar tab.

  2. Select the event you want to cancel.

  3. Select Cancel event.

  4. Select Cancel event again to confirm.
