    Welcome to Continuum for phone

    Content provided by Microsoft

    Content provided by Microsoft

    Applies to: Windows 10 Mobile

Continuum turns your phone into a big-screen projector and a big-time productivity tool. Use a dock or adapter to connect to a TV or monitor, then use your apps and see your content on a larger screen. Or, show off your favorite stuff on a Windows 10 PC without needing a dock or adapter. Want to do even more? Connect a keyboard and mouse and get started.

    Note

Continuum requires additional hardware and is available only on select new phones running Windows 10 Mobile. Shop for compatible phones and accessories.

Use your phone like a PC

Connect a keyboard and mouse to grant your phone PC-like powers. Create and edit Office docs, send email, even type text messages on your connected screen when your thumbs get tired. When you’re done, your work goes with you—it’s saved on your phone.

Ready for a break? Watch videos, browse your photos, or surf the web on your connected screen.

Use your phone like a phone

Even when you’re connected to a display, monitor, or PC, you can still use your phone as an actual phone. Make and receive calls, send texts, check your social media apps—it’s all a tap away.

Use your phone as a touchpad

To use your phone to control your connected screen, select Tap to control in the Continuum banner at the top of your screen. Then swipe your finger around the phone’s screen to move the cursor.

    Make it yours

Change the background photo on your connected screen as often as you like. On Start , swipe over to the All apps list, and then select Settings > Personalization > Start . Under Second display, make your choice.

    Note

You'll only see Second display as an option when your phone is connected to a TV, monitor, or PC.
