Improvement

By default, SQL Server Agent waits during the program startup for all databases to be recovered before it can start a job. Sometimes, the wait can be very long for a large database to recover.

This update for Microsoft SQL Server 2017 on Linux enables SQL Server Agent jobs to start without having to wait for all databases to be recovered.

Resolution

This improvement is included in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:

       Cumulative Update 9 for SQL Server 2017
