Improvements and fixes
This security update includes improvements and fixes that were a part of update KB4343894 (released August 30, 2018) and addresses the following issues:
- Security updates to Windows media, Windows Shell, Windows Hyper-V, Windows kernel, Windows datacenter networking, Windows virtualization and kernel, Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows MSXML, and Windows Server.

Known issues in this update
|After you apply this update, the network interface controller may stop working on some client software configurations. This occurs because of an issue related to a missing file, oem<number>.inf. The exact problematic configurations are currently unknown.|| |

This update may fail to install with error 0x8000FFFF.
|Before installing this update, install KB3177467, the last Servicing Stack Update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, to resolve this issue.|
|All Guest Virtual Machines running Unicast NLB fail to respond to NLB requests after the Virtual Machines restart.||This issue is resolved in KB4457139.|
